Victory Days is a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring veterans by providing education on the WWII era. This full immersion three day event will relive every aspect of World War II; military, medical, homefront, music, aircraft, cars, tractors, and military vehicles. Activities include battle, medical and aircraft demonstrations, re-enactor mess hall, MP patrols, Saturday USO style hangar show and dance, Sunday awards ceremony and the Friday “school day” program that incorporates state educational standards with interactive learning.
Originally planned to be held at the Columbus Municipal Airport, the disastrous flooding has redirected the city's priorities. The Terre Haute International Airport, Hulman Field, the site for large airshows in the past, offered their air field to Victory Days. Hulman Field was dedicated on October 3, 1944, which makes it a perfect location to relive WWII.
Enjoy the Saturday night dance held in one of their many hangars. Bring your mess kit to the chow line for two free meals a day.
All allied and axis units interested in participating must be members of a recognized re-enactment society. Authenticity and safety standards will apply. Registration ends September 29th, but to guarantee your unit name get listed in the Victory Days program, you must register before July 31st.
